Hands-On Tech Lead / CTO

Join the Founder & CEO, Laura, of AwakeTeams and help realize the vision of scaling interpersonal skills development in the workplace. Currently in market with good traction, I am looking for a tech lead to partner with me in figuring out ways to further delight our customers, including the White House Leadership Development Program, Iron Galaxy Studios, and Mintz law firm.

AwakeTeams improves quintessentially human skills such as trust-building, communication, and collaboration through tech-enabled delivery of a research-backed curriculum and AI. We measure skills acquisition and impact on the business over the course of each 3-month module. Our data demonstrate that in just one 3-month module skills are acquired and team performance significantly improves.

I am looking for a solid tech lead to build out the product creatively and resourcefully, manage part-time contractors, and eventually build out the tech team.


●     Improve automation, security, and delivery of current product

●     Integrate customer feedback into a product roadmap, collaborating to adapt and iterate the offering as needed

●     Implement innovative ways to delight customers through continual iteration

●     Ensure customer delight and success of program

Skills and Qualifications:

●      Entrepreneurial experience architecting, implementing, and deploying secure, scalable, and cost-effective web solutions

●      Competent in frontend and backend cloud-based technologies

●      Experience in developing backend services using serverless cloud technologies (major cloud vendor); Python expertise

●      Ideally, you’ve already successfully built and/or exited early-stage startup(s)

●      Delight in collaboration and proven success in self-starting, acting boldly, and delivering to agreed-upon milestones

●      Demonstrated high degree of personal grit, determination, and adaptability
